ClimateWorks Australia seeks to bring the best minds together in world-leading cross-disciplinary research, engagement and action projects, to envisage and create the decarbonised economies of the future.

To assist us in driving Australia towards a zero carbon economy, we are looking for an experienced senior analyst to lead our research program, with strengths in methodology development, quality assurance, scope management and analysis interpretation. If you have an analytical drive, with experience in leading research programs from design to delivery then this could be your opportunity to bring fresh eyes to an independent, research-based, non-profit organisation.

The acting Head of Research will be responsible for leading the research program of ClimateWorks Australia, designing and delivering research that is agenda-setting in relation to decarbonisation pathways and opportunities and can guide business and government to increase action to address climate change. Given the pioneering nature of ClimateWorks' research projects, the acting Head of Research will have to be creative and apply strong problem-solving skills to develop frameworks and methodologies.

It is expected s/he will have very strong technical analytical skills and a practical approach to create high quality research outcomes that secure engagement and commitment from national and international corporate leaders and senior government representatives. In addition they will be an innovative leader driving organisational performance and a high performing culture within the Research team supporting them to meet program deliverables and develop their skills.

The acting Head of Research forms part of the Climateworks Australia leadership team working in close collaboration with the CEO, Head of Implementation and Head of Engagement to manage the strategic direction of the organisation. 

The role is a parental leave replacement, however there may be further opportunities within ClimateWorks for the right candidate.
